THE IMPORTANCE OF A CLEAN ENVIRONMENT

ESSAY

6- Once upon a time, in a beautiful village, there was a small tree. The tree needed water to grow and water is essential for all plants. Every day, the villagers watered the tree to help it grow, especially the children, who loved taking care of it. One day, the villagers noticed pollution in the nearby river. They realized they had to act fast to prevent more pollution as soon as possible. Therefore, they gathered together and decided to clean up the whole river. Meanwhile, they continued to water the other plants. After cleaning the river, the villagers felt proud of their efforts. They understood the importance of keeping their environment clean. From that day on, they made a promise to themselves to always protect their environment and keep it clean for the future. By taking precautions, they tried to leave better environmet to their children for the future. Their children will be lucky to have clean environment. The villagers hoped that their children protect the nature like them. For this reason, they provide education to the children in the village on this crucial topic. The children clearly understood what they must do to protect the nature. And so, they learnt a habit which included waking up early and watering the plant.

6- Bir zamanlar güzel bir kasabada küçük bir ağaç varmış. Ağacın büyümesi için suya ihtiyacı vardı ve su tüm bitkiler için gereklidir. Köylüler, özellikle de ona bakmayı seven çocuklar, ağacın büyümesine yardımcı olmak için her gün ağacı suladılar. Bir gün köylüler yakındaki nehirde kirlilik olduğunu fark ettiler. Daha çok kirliliğin bir an önce önlenmesi için hızlı hareket etmeleri gerektiğini fark ettiler. Bu yüzden bir araya gelerek nehrin tamamını temizlemeye karar verdiler. Bu arada diğer bitkileri sulamaya devam ettiler. Nehrin temizlenmesinin ardından köylüler çalışmalarından gurur duydu. Çevrelerini temizlemenin önemini anladılar. O günden sonra gelecekte de çevrelerini daima koruyup temizleyeceklerine dair kendilerine söz verdiler. Önlemler alarak çocuklarına geleceğe daha iyi bir çevre bırakmaya çalıştılar. Çocukları temiz bir çevreye sahip oldukları için şanslı olacaklar. Köylüler çocuklarının da kendileri gibi doğayı korumasını umuyordu. Bu nedenle çocuklarına bu çok önemli konu hakkında eğitim verdiler. Çocuklar doğayı korumak için ne yapmaları gerektiğini net bir şekilde anladılar. Böylece erkenden kalkıp bitkiyi sulamayı da alışkanlık haline getirmişler.

In Reading and Listening, I usually first draft a sentence with the words I know, but this draft exists only in my mind. Then, if I'm stuck on some words, I try to understand what they mean.
