BEN AND MAYA IN A MARKET

 Once upon a time, in a cozy little town, there lived two best friends named Ben and Maya. They loved going on adventures together, especially when it involved exploring new places. One sunny morning, they heard about a new market that had just opened in their town. Excitedly, they decided to check it out. As they approached the market, they saw a long line of people waiting to get in. Ben felt a bit impatient, but Maya said, "Let's be patient, Ben. Good things come to those who wait." So, they joined the line and chatted about what they hoped to find at the market. Finally, it was their turn to enter. They saw a lot of quality things on the shelves and they tried to buy everyting. They walked around the market with pleasure. Ben's eyes lit up when he spotted a stall offering delicious samples of cookies. "These are so yummy!" he exclaimed, offering one to Maya. They also found a stall with a sign that said, "Make discount on toys." Maya's eyes sparkled with excitement as they hurried over to see what toys were on sale. They each picked out a toy they liked and happily bought them. After exploring every corner of the market, they left with their arms full of goodies and reached the checkout. After they stopped near the checkout, they got three shopping bags to fill them. While Ben was filling the shopping bags, Maya said ‘keep the change ‘ to the cashier. As they walked home, Ben said, "Today was different, but fun!" Maya nodded in agreement, feeling grateful for their friendship and the wonderful day they had shared at the market.


Bir zamanlar küçük şirin bir kasabada Ben ve Maya adında iki yakın arkadaş yaşarmış. Birlikte maceralara atılmayı seviyorlardı, özellikle de yeni yerler keşfetmeyi içeriyorsa. Güneşli bir sabah, kasabalarında yeni bir pazarın açıldığını duydular. Heyecanla kontrol etmeye karar verdiler. Pazara yaklaştıklarında, içeri girmek için bekleyen uzun bir insan kuyruğu gördüler. Ben biraz sabırsızlandı ama Maya, "Sabırlı olalım Ben. Bekleyenlere güzel şeyler gelir" dedi. Böylece sıraya katıldılar ve pazarda bulmayı umdukları şeyler hakkında sohbet ettiler. Sonunda içeri girme sırası onlara geldi. Raflarda çok kaliteli şeyler gördüler ve hepsini almaya çalıştılar. Çarşıda keyifle dolaştılar. Lezzetli kurabiye örnekleri sunan bir tezgahı görünce Ben'in gözleri parladı. "Bunlar çok lezzetli!" diye bağırdı ve bir tanesini Maya'ya teklif etti. Ayrıca "Oyuncaklarda indirim var!" yazan bir tabela bulunan bir tezgah da buldular. Hangi oyuncakların indirimde olduğunu görmek için acele ederken Maya'nın gözleri heyecanla parladı. Her biri beğendiği bir oyuncağı seçip mutlu bir şekilde satın aldı. Çarşıyı her köşesini gezdikten sonra kucak dolusu güzelliklerle oradan ayrılıp kasaya ulaştılar. Kasanın yakınında durduktan sonra, onları dolduracak üç alışveriş poşeti aldılar. Ben alışveriş poşetlerini doldururken Maya kasiyere 'üstünü sakla' dedi. Eve doğru yürüdüklerinde Ben, "Bugün farklıydı ama eğlenceliydi!" dedi. Maya, arkadaşlıkları ve pazarda geçirdikleri harika gün için minnettarlık duyarak, başını sallayarak onayladı.

In Reading and Listening, I usually first draft a sentence with the words I know, but this draft exists only in my mind. Then, if I'm stuck on some words, I try to understand what they mean.
